Equipment

  • 1 Medium mixing bowl
  • 1 Fork or whisk
  • 1 Knife and cutting board
  • 1 Spoon for mixing

Ingredients
  

For the Tuna Salad:

  • 2 cans tuna
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp onion powder or finely chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Sandwich:

  • 8 slices of bread

Instructions
 

  • To prepare the Tuna Salad, just follow the steps:Break the drained tuna and mix it with the fork in a medium size mixing bowl.Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and lemon juice in the bowl.Add in finely diced celery, pickles (optionally), onion powder, a pinch of salt and pepper.Mix all till well mixed. Season and season to taste.
  • Put the Sandwich togetherPlace your slices of bread.Put the tuna salad on half the slices in an even manner.Add optional toppings such as lettuce, tomato slices or cheese.The other slices of bread should be placed on top to make sandwiches.
  • Toast (Optional)You can apply thin coat of butter on the outer sides of the bread so that you can get a warm and crispy sandwich.Toast in panini press or in a skillet until golden brown on both sides as well as melting the cheese.
  • Serve:To present it in a traditional way, cut the sandwiches diagonally into two pieces.Serve hot using chips or pickles or a side salad

Notes

Select Good Tuna: Albacore, or solid white tuna is rich-tasting and flaky.
Drain Tuna correctly: will make sure that the salad is not soupy.
Fresh Ingredients: Lettuce should be crisp, tomatoes should be ripe and bread should be fresh.
Make It To Your Taste: Try out your favorite seasoning, herbs and add-ons to make it the best taste.
Toast as texture: Toasted sandwich provides a good crunch.
