Equipment

  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Sharp knife or sandwich cutter
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Butter knife or spreader
  • 1 Rolling pin

Ingredients
  

Bread Common Fillings:

  • Soft white or wheat sandwich bread
  • ½ cucumber
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Egg Salad:

  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper

Ham & Cheese:

  • 4 slices deli ham
  • 4 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
  • Butter or mustard

Smoked Salmon & Dill:

  • 4 oz smoked salmon
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 fresh dill
  • Lemon juice

Herbed Cream Cheese:

  • 4 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives or parsley
  • Dash of garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Prepare bread:Cut crusts with all slices. You can level the bread lightly with a rolling pin for a fine form.
  • Fill:In a bowl, mix or prepare your chosen sandwiches (eg, spread egg salad, cream cheese, etc.).
  • Practition or layer filling:Use a butter knife to spread equally cream cheese or egg salad, or keep thin slices of ham, cheese, or cucumber.
  • Gather sandwich:Press to the top and gently seal with another slices of bread.
  • Cut into shapes:Sandwich slices in triangle, squares, or rectangles. Use a sharp knife for clean edges or cutters for fun shapes.
  • Alternative Chilling:Wrap sandwich in a moist paper towel and cool for 10–15 minutes to keep them fresh and moist.
  • Serve fresh:Arrange on a tray and serve with tea, lemonade, or light snacks immediately
