Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions
 

  • With a big bowl, mix together softened butter, white sugar and brown sugar until it becomes creamy.
  • Place the eggs into the batter, one at a time and make sure to blend well after each one. Add vanilla as an extra flavoring.
  • Combine the dry ingredients: In a different bowl, stir flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt until mixed.
  • Blend the dry mix with the butter buttery mix a little bit at a time. Pour in the oats, the chocolate chips, coconut and nuts.
  • Wrap the dough and put it in the fridge for one hour to cool.
  • Set the oven to 350°F (175°C) and place parchment paper on your baking sheet.
  • Shaping Cookies: Take a ball of dough and set it on the baking sheet at least 2 inches away from the sides of other dough balls.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes until you see golden edges on the cookies. Wait until the food is cooled down before serving or eating it.

Notes

Purchase Baking Soda And Baking Powder that are Fresh for the Best Outcome.
Don’t Overdo the Baking: Occasionally underbaking will result in softer, chewier cookies.
Create Your Own Combination: Choose something other than nuts or chocolate such as dried fruits or white chocolate chips.
Allow the dough to sit in the fridge for a while before baking it so the cookies don’t expand too much.
Be Sure Not to Pack Oats Into the Measuring Device to Keep the Oats Texture Right.
