Banana Bread Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowls
  • 1 Whisk or electric mixer
  • 1 Loaf pan
  • 1 Measuring cups/spoons
  • 1 Rubber spatula
  • 1 Cooling rack

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • ½ tbsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Grease your loaf pan and preheat oven at 350 degree Fahrenheit (175 degree Celsius).
  • Mash the bananas in a large bowl due to smoothness.
  • Mix the bananas with melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
  • In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, until it becomes fully mixed.
  • Fold in nuts or chocolate chips, (optional).
  • Pour batter batter in pan greased and smooth down.
  • Place in the oven on 350 and cook 50-60 mins, or until a toothpick removes cleanly.
  • Cool it in the pan 10 minutes, and put on a rack to cool completely.
  • Cut and eat cool or hot.

Notes

This banana dessert needs very ripe bananas with brown spots on them as they are the sweetest.
Do not overmix and make the batter light and airy.
Add a cinnamon or nutmeg to warming spice.
Cover tightly in foil and keep at room temp up to 3 days or freeze slices- use later.
